The Office of International Education organizes a program called “Introduction to Iceland”, which aim is to introduce Icelandic society, culture, history and nature to international students and visiting teachers. In next excursion we will head to the Reykjanes peninsula, where the mid Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean, to give you a better view of the area most foreigners describe as "moon landscape" after arriving in Iceland from the international airport in Keflavík.
More than half of the peninsula is covered with lava flows, some of which are only a few hundred years old. You will see lava cones and craters of different size and shapes. The trip goes Reykjavík, Bessastaðir, Vatnsleysuströnd, Keflavík, Reykjanesviti, Blue lagoon. The stop in the Blue Lagoon will be about 2-3 hours.
Price; 5000 kr and that is payed at the International Office before the Thursday the 24th of January.
If you want to go into the Blue Lagoon you have to pay there 1600 kr (special students price, normal price is 5500 kr)
